Most of the time, I edit other peoples' writing. I also write reviews of many things, including Tabletop RPG products and related stuff .
I've taken published game systems and modules and tweaked them to make them work better for me. I've a sort of 'mod' of DDM Guild's D&D Miniatures Battles Game that I especially like, but can only use for my own amusement at my table due to legal stuff.
I'm working on writing my own fiction and have a few partially finished projects going. My latest one is for a short story anthology that has an actual submission deadline (Oct 30th), so hopefully, that will motivate me to get through the tough part of finishing something that's all mine. I'm really good at starting stories. The tough part for me is finishing them. I get part way, then the editor and critic in me starts tearing the story apart. :)
Maybe I need a co-author for some of these stories, but I'm not sure who I would ask.
I look forward to reading some of your fiction. Forget about that inner critic and just plough through. The author is the worst person to critique his/her own writing.
Thanks for the encouragement! When I manage to get my latest short story written, I should find someone to proofread and edit it before I send it in to the guys doing the anthology. I can proofread my own reviews and short articles, but you're right, I probably shouldn't critique my own original fiction.
I wish I was more into coding than I am. I enjoy making mods or level editing for video games, but only if they have a fairly simple 'drag and drop' type of interface for it.
Math isn't my strong suit. :) I'm much better at computer hardware and have built several computers and upgraded others.
