This is my second, believe it or not, 100% hand-made deck of playing cards. There are 131 cards in it total: 26 cards repeated five times, and one special card (the one at the top left in the photo) to round it out.
When I say hand-made, I mean exactly that. Hand-made. Someone hand-inked (in three colours) 125 pairs of calligraphic characters, and six pairs of decorative symbols, in three ink colours onto so-called "rice paper", adding little decorative elements here and there. He then pasted that onto black card stock, innundated all that with tung oil, then hand-cut it into a deck of playing cards.
The game played with this deck is one of the myriad of Rummy-family games in China.
This is the other handmade deck. Many more cards with one set of cards done entirely in red while the rest have a single red card. There is no stand-alone decorative card either. The card backing is red (which is the most common card backing colour here).
