Gamer+ News December 16, 2019
Inspired Unreality tonight at 9:00 PM Central Time! Inspired Unreality is an open game chat held in the gamerplus chatrooms at Tenkar's Tavern on Discord. Voice and text chat. The starting topic for tonight will be party games.
The NEA Gamers Guild had their last Library Game Day yesterday followed by a Christmas party where they ... played games. Including a dirty santa gift exchange where you rolled a D6 and read your action from a table. Needless to say various strategies were employed.
We have big plans for the New Year including the Related To Geeks Book Club where we will read Fantasy and Science Fiction novels and novelettes and discuss them in the gamerplus chatrooms at Tenkar's Tavern on the third Monday of each month (except we will take November and December off). If you want to read ahead for January our first selection is The Tower Of The Elephant by Robert E. Howard. Here's a link to the text.

It is also available as an audio book on Youtube.

Our book for February will be "Little Brother" by Corey Doctorow and then in March we will read "The Ocean at the End of the Lane" by Neil Gaiman.
If you are interested in the Related To Geeks Book Club we have a group for that.

RobboG is also setting up a regular actual play group on Thursday nights that will be recorded as an If You Play You Win podcast. So if you miss the good old days when your party adventured in a weekly campaign let me know. We have three people now. We need four or five in our core group, and then, of course, we will welcome anyone who can only jump in for a night at a time.
Please welcome ZDL into her role as moderator on Gamer+. She volunteered to help me squash the bots and she has also been one of our most consistent posters covering everything from Chinese card games to her book in progress, Reviews From The Fringe. She is friendly and helpful and perfect for the job.
